Vineyard Bible Institute launched as an internet (email) based, distance education program in early 2000. It had previously developed and grown as a mail-based audio tape program situated in Anaheim. The vision, formulated by Bob Fulton (International Coordinator, Association of Vineyard Churches), is to provide training for lay leaders utilizing the best teaching materials available in the Vineyard movement.
