The vision of Oasis Church in Pasadena, CA is to be a missional and culturally relevant church dedicated to living out authentic Christianity through building community and connecting with God. Oasis Church was planted in September of 2008 and is currently meeting on Sundays at the ‘Ice House Comedy Club.’ Our church is set in the midst of a diverse urban culture, drawing from thriving art and college communities. We strongly value justice and concern for those in need, spiritually or physically. Our average Sunday attendance is about 85 people. We are looking for a lead pastor who is able to start as a bi-vocational leader and take us to the next level.
Leadership qualities of our next pastor would include:
-An ability to speak with vision, and to inspire and inform our congregation.
-Cultural savviness – able to communicate with relevance in our metropolitan culture.
-Ability to connect with those distant from the church.
-Strong leadership abilities -- a leader of leaders with ongoing recruiting, mentoring, and releasing skills to guide our growing staff team.
-Spiritual, mental and emotional stability and a strong moral character.
